Why was my credit/debit card declined at check out?

Several factors can lead to your credit or debit card being declined at checkout. One of the initial steps we advise is to reach out to your bank to verify if they have placed a hold on your transaction with Hip.

If your payment is still failing after following the above steps, your bank may be preventing your payment from going through. Note that your bank or Credit Card company does not share details with PayPal about why your card was declined. You can call your bank or Credit Card company using the phone number on the back of your card.
