How to set up my own sale?

Hip provides a wide variety of options to create sales and promotions within your Store from your Members Area > Selling > Seller Tools > Promotions/Sales page.

Creating a Basic Sale

The most common sale created is a Basic Sale, which offers a fixed percentage discount on your items. Follow these steps to create your own sale:

  1. Click the Create a New Promotion or Sale button.
  2. Enter a name for your promotion.
  3. For the Promotion Type, select Percentage Discount and All Matching Item(s).
  4. Set the reduction percent (For example: If you are offering a 15% discount, enter "15").
  5. Choose No Additional Rules and leave the Coupon/Promo Code section blank.
  6. Specify the start and expiry dates for your sale, if applicable.
  7. Optionally, select the specific categories to which the discount will apply.
  8. Click Save to set up your Basic Sale.

Advanced Promotions

You can customize your sales by selecting the applicable options from the dropdown menu under the Promotion Type and Rules sections. Some examples of these advanced promotions are 'Spend $100, Receive $25 Off' or 'Buy 3 Get 1 Free' offers. If you choose to add a Coupon/Promo Code, remember to share it with your buyers, otherwise, your best (codeless) promotion will automatically be applied at checkout.
